How to Get a New PAN Card If You’ve Lost Yours – A Simple Guide

Hey there, friends! If you’ve ever lost your PAN card, you know how stressful it can be. A few days ago, I lost mine, and I had to figure out how to get a new one. Don’t worry—I’m here to share how I got my PAN card reprinted and delivered to my doorstep in just a few days!

What to Do When You Lose Your PAN Card

Losing your PAN card doesn’t have to be stressful. Here’s how to get a new one quickly and easily:

1. Visit a Browsing Center or E-Sevai Maiyam

I started by visiting a nearby browsing center (or E-Sevai Maiyam) to help me with the process. They charged a small fee of Rs. 500, but it was totally worth it for the ease and assistance they provided. The staff helped me with everything, saving me time and effort.

2. Search Online for PAN Reprint

If you're tech-savvy, you can skip the browsing center and go directly online to reprint your PAN card. Websites like NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) and UTI offer the option to reprint or reissue your PAN card. Simply search for ‘reprint PAN card’ and follow the instructions on the official website.

3. Fill in Your Details

Whether you're at a browsing center or doing it online, you’ll need to fill in your PAN details along with a few personal details. This may include your date of birth and Aadhaar number for verification. You’ll receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile number. After entering the OTP, submit the form.

4. Pay the Fee

A small fee of around Rs. 50 is required to process the reprint of your card. You can pay this fee online via debit/credit card or net banking.

5. Delivery to Your Doorstep

Once the process is complete, your new PAN card will be delivered to your address within 7-10 business days. No more waiting in long queues or visiting offices!

Quick Tips:

  • Keep a Copy Safe: Always store a copy of your PAN card in a secure place—whether digital or hard copy.
  • e-PAN Option: If you need a quick copy of your PAN, you can download your e-PAN (electronic PAN) from the same websites. It’s a valid digital version of your PAN card.

Finally

Losing a PAN card can be annoying, but getting a new one is quick and easy. Just follow these simple steps, and you’ll have your new card in hand before you know it!

I hope this guide helps. Stay safe! 😊
